When I started SB nearly a year ago the intent was to supplement what I wrote at Cracked. Unfortunately, as of today said contributions at Cracked comprise entirely of a single Photoplasty entry. I haven’t even sent them a proposal in months. It’s very much a lack of desire on my part, and also because I think they’ve slipped a bit recently. Don’t get me wrong, they still produce great stuff from time to time. I’m just not “feeling” them as much anymore.
Too many movie and video game articles I frankly don’t give a rat’s ass about.

That said, there’s plenty of other good stuff out there. That’s a good thing, given what kind of a slacker I am.
It’s been nearly a month since the last FCR. One would think I’d have plenty to write about today, but eh, not so much. Dredging the Internet for the awesome and the absurd hasn’t been a real high priority lately.
I must have slept on my side weird last night, as I’m now in almost incapacitating pain. I fear if a sneeze catches me off guard, I’ll spew my visceral contents all over the 1976 World Book Encyclopedia set immediately to my left.
Cleaning supplies on hand are woefully inadequate for such a scenario.
I suppose this means I’d better finish this week’s FCR before I turn the Command Center into even more of a biohazard than it already is.
Like many of you, my music collection began on the venerable Compact Cassette format. While I’m somewhat ashamed to say the first tape I bought on my own was *cough* Thriller, the second proved to be a much more dignified choice.
1984 wasn’t so bad after all.
Although I remember when computers came with cassette tape players, the format doesn’t exactly lend itself to multimedia excellence. I haven’t had a tape player for years, so they’ve just sat there moldering.
Ack. Maybe I really should think about taking Sundays off. This afternoon over at YouTube I managed to take another much-needed swipe at “Here We Have Idaho,” but that’s all I had in the tank for today. Yes, I used Windows Movie Maker not 24 hours after dissing it in this space.
Told you it was lame.
If I ever needed an energy dome, it’s today. Hell, this post is so short I’m not even gonna bother with a jump.
My daughter went back to the 2T earlier today. Now I have time to catch up on my own projects. Projects such as buy laundry soap. Buy dish soap. Buy disinfectant. Buy batteries. Buy cat litter. Buy horse tranquilizers pale ale. And do it all at once.
